  • Should I throw away low value items?

     Do not throw anything away!  I repeat do not throw/donate anything!  The saying goes one mans trash is another mans treasure. An estate sale is a way to get people to pay you to have them take out the trash for you.  You would be surprised what kinds of things sell and what don’t, and the value that some items will get.  Most common thrown-away valuables: clothes (vintage clothes are in), postcards(potentially lots of value), vinyl records, food, cleaning supplies, Etc.

  • How much money can I make by having an estate sale?

    An estate sale is not usually going to make you a ton of money but it will cover the cost of the rest of the clean out of the house.  You will not get as much as you would if you listed things individually on Facebook marketplace, but everything will be sold in one weekend.

  • How do I know if I have enough stuff for an estate sale?

    If you and your family take all of the valuables out of the house (which is fine) there is a possibility that there is not going to be enough value for an estate sale.  Estate sales typically require a $10,000 value in order to do a sale.  We can do one with a limit less than that, usually around $5,000 to get money to pay for the remainder of the cleanout.

  • How do you handle valuable or rare items that require specialized knowledge?

    Your specialty items like expensive painting/artwork, Antiques, rare collectables are not good candidates for being sold at an estate sale they need to be put with a national audience and we have partnered with a company that will get your valuable into the hands of a serious buyer. 

  • Can I have a garage sale instead of an estate sale?

    An estate sale is extremely laborious and can take weeks to set up and price.  On top of that estate sale companies have followers that line up outside the sale the day off to get the best deal.  They are also marketed very well so people can see what is for sale and know if it is worth the drive.  A garage sale usually gets the people driving by and a few stragglers if you market online.  It is not worth your time to try and save money doing it alone.
